2026 Altamonte Springs Red Hot and Boom Fireworks Show

Red Hot & Boom is Altamonte Springs’ annual answer to the question of where 150,000 people should spend their July 3rd. Now in its 29th year, this free celebration at Crane’s Roost Park is one of the largest Independence Day events in Florida — a full evening of live music capped by a 25-minute fireworks finale with over 14,000 shells choreographed to music over the lake.

Performers

The 2026 headliner is Chris Lane, a national country artist with over 2.2 billion streams and multiple chart-topping singles, presented by Dan Newlin. Opening acts include Wish Radio, a high-energy party band built around nostalgic hits from across the decades, and Blue Stone Circle, one of Orlando’s most experienced live bands with a set spanning pop, Top 40, country, R&B, and disco.

VIP & Kids Zone

• Oasis Beer Garden (ages 21+) — $45 per person. Premium reserved seating, reception bites, and an exclusive fireworks viewing area closest to the lake.
• Complimentary Kids Zone — Free inflatable attractions and bungee trampoline.

Getting There

Fireworks launch at approximately 9:30 PM. Arrive by 5:00 PM to secure a good lawn spot — the park fills up well before showtime. The easiest parking option is Altamonte Mall, just a short walk from Crane’s Roost Park. Bring a blanket or chairs; food and beverages are sold on-site throughout the evening.

Altamonte Springs is worth spending the whole day before the fireworks. Here are some of the best ways to fill the hours before Red Hot & Boom kicks off at 5:00 PM.

• Crane’s Roost Park — The event venue is worth visiting long before the crowds arrive. A one-mile paved path wraps around the lake, and the park’s choreographed fountain show at the European-style plaza runs throughout the day. Bring a blanket and claim your spot on the lawn early — this doubles as prime real estate for the 9:30 PM fireworks show.
• Lake Lotus Park — A quieter escape just a few miles from Crane’s Roost, with shaded walking trails and a chance to spot herons, turtles, and other Florida wildlife. Best visited in the morning before the heat peaks.
• Congo River Golf — A Florida mini-golf staple themed around the Congo River, complete with waterfalls, caves, and live alligators on the property. A solid afternoon activity for families with kids before heading to Crane’s Roost for the main event.
• Dining at Uptown Altamonte — The walkable district surrounding Crane’s Roost Park has a full lineup of restaurants for lunch or an early dinner. Highlights include Café Murano (Italian, right on Cranes Roost Blvd), Season’s 52 (fresh seasonal menu), and Bahama Breeze for Caribbean-inspired food and drinks in the shade before the evening begins.
• Altamonte Mall — If the July heat gets to be too much, the mall is a two-minute drive from Crane’s Roost and has over 100 stores plus an AMC IMAX theater. A useful air-conditioned fallback for families before the evening fireworks.
