2026 Epcot Fireworks at Disney World

In 2026, Epcot’s patriotic fireworks spectacular — “Heartbeat of Freedom” — expands to three consecutive nights: July 3rd, July 4th, and July 5th, as part of Disney World’s extended celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

The show launches additional pyrotechnics from barges around World Showcase Lagoon immediately following the nightly Luminous: The Symphony of Us show, typically beginning around 9:15 PM. Spaceship Earth illuminates in red, white, and blue, its reflection shimmering across the lagoon for a stunning visual effect. The entire display is choreographed to patriotic music.

Epcot also features activities throughout the park including fife and drum corps performances and a specialized holiday menu at select restaurants.

Epcot Guide

Epcot is a full-day park — and for July 4th, it’s one of Disney World’s best options because the World Showcase Lagoon puts you right at the fireworks viewing area while you enjoy the park throughout the day.

• Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — Epcot’s newest headline attraction in World Discovery is a reverse-launch indoor roller coaster and one of the most in-demand rides at Walt Disney World. Secure a virtual queue or Lightning Lane reservation the moment the My Disney Experience app opens on the morning of your visit — availability goes fast, especially on July 4th weekend.
• World Showcase Pavilion Hopping — The 11 country pavilions around the lagoon are the heart of an Epcot day. Each has unique food, specialty drinks, and cultural experiences — Japan, Morocco, France, Mexico, and Germany are standouts for food and drink. The afternoon is the ideal time to work your way around the lagoon, because your pavilion position doubles as your viewing spot for the Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks show at approximately 9:15 PM.
• Soarin’ Around the World & Test Track — Two of Epcot’s signature experiences. Soarin’ is a simulated hang-glider flight over global landmarks (immersive, best for all ages); Test Track lets you design a concept car and run it through a simulated high-speed test. Both are best experienced in the morning before the midday queues build on holiday weekends.
• The Seas with Nemo & Friends — A gentle dark ride through an animated ocean, followed by one of the largest aquariums in the world with manatees, sea turtles, dolphins, and sharks viewable through floor-to-ceiling windows. Turtle Talk with Crush — an interactive animated show in the same building — is a highlight for families with younger kids and has minimal wait times throughout the day.
• Disney Springs — Free to enter with no park ticket required, Disney Springs is a short Disney bus ride from Epcot and a good morning stop for families who want to start the day shopping and dining before heading into the park for the afternoon and evening. The BOATHOUSE, Jaleo by José Andrés, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill are reliable dining options with typically more availability than in-park restaurants on July 4th.
