2026 Avalon Park 4th of July Fireworks in East Orlando

Avalon Park features a spectacular fireworks finale over Avalon Lake. The festivities start in the afternoon at Founder’s Square with food trucks, live music, a kids zone, and a community parade. The Avalon Park fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:00pm.

The city also has a 5k in the morning to kick off the Independence Day festivities.

Avalon Park & Waterford Lakes Guide

Avalon Park’s town center and the nearby Waterford Lakes corridor give you a full range of options — from outdoor trails to a major shopping and dining complex — for filling the hours before the 9:00 PM fireworks over Avalon Lake.

• Avalon Park Town Center — The pedestrian-friendly town center surrounding Avalon Lake hosts the July 4th afternoon festivities starting at 5:00 PM, with food trucks, live music, a kids’ bike parade, and an Apple Pie Bake-Off before the fireworks. Arrive early and enjoy the town center before the crowds build — the splash pad and community park space are ideal for families with younger kids.
• Waterford Lakes Town Center — A large open-air shopping and dining complex about 10 minutes west of Avalon Park on SR-408. Over 100 retailers, an AMC 20 movie theater, and a wide range of restaurants including First Watch, Miller’s Ale House, Tijuana Flats, and Yard House — a good air-conditioned option for lunch or an early dinner before the evening event.
• Blanchard Park — A 100-acre recreation park along the Little Econ Greenway, about 15 minutes west of Avalon Park. Paved multi-use trails, a splash zone, a fishing pier, and shaded picnic areas make it a good morning destination before the afternoon heat builds. The trail connects through to the UCF area.
• Dining at Waterford Lakes — The Town Center has some of the most convenient pre-fireworks dining in the east Orlando corridor. Keke’s Breakfast Café is a popular morning stop, while Miller’s Ale House and Yard House are reliable for an early dinner before heading back to Avalon for the evening show.
• Regal Waterford Lakes Stadium 20 — The large AMC theater at Waterford Lakes Town Center is a convenient air-conditioned escape if the July heat is too much mid-afternoon. A matinee is an easy way to bridge the gap between lunch and the evening fireworks a few miles away.
