2026 Mount Dora 4th of July Fireworks — Freedom on the Waterfront

Mount Dora celebrates Independence Day with their Freedom on the Waterfront event at Elizabeth Evans Park. The event features live music, food and beverages, a kids zone, and fireworks over Lake Dora. The Mount Dora fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:15pm on July 3rd.
The city also has a parade in the morning on July 4th through the downtown area starting at 10am.

Mount Dora is one of Florida’s most charming small towns — an antique-filled downtown, lakeside parks, and a walkable main street that rewards an extended afternoon of exploration before the July 3rd fireworks at Elizabeth Evans Park.
- Downtown Mount Dora — The historic district along Donnelly Street and 4th Avenue is lined with antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, and cafés in Victorian-era commercial buildings. There are over a dozen antique dealers within walking distance, making this one of Florida’s top antiquing destinations. Plan at least two hours to explore before the evening event.
- Mount Dora Lighthouse & Grantham Point — One of only a handful of inland lighthouses in the United States. The small park at Grantham Point overlooks Lake Dora and is a five-minute walk from downtown — worth a stop for the views and the novelty of an inland lighthouse.
- Lake Dora Boat Tours — Pontoon and electric boat tours depart from the harbor throughout the day. The narrated Dora Canal tour passes through a cypress canopy connecting Lake Dora to Lake Eustis — one of the most scenic waterway experiences in Central Florida.
- Renninger’s Antique Center — A massive outdoor antiques complex with hundreds of dealers on US-441, just a short drive from downtown. Open on weekends, including July 4th weekend — a natural extension of the downtown antique crawl for serious hunters.
- Dining in Downtown Mount Dora — Goblin Market Restaurant (beloved eclectic local institution) and Pisces Rising (upscale waterfront dining on the harbor) are the two dining anchors — both require reservations on July 3rd weekend. For a more casual option, the Windsor Rose English Tea Room is a reliable lunch stop without the wait.
